Titans head coach Brian Callahan said after Sunday's loss that he thought officials made an incorrect call when they flagged defensive back Mike Brown for a hit on Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison in the end zone in the second quarter and he didn't feel any differently on Monday.
Addison started the game off with a beautiful 47-yard touchdown reception from Sam Darnold and was targeted in the end zone again later in the game. He tied Justin Jefferson for the team lead in targets but was also on the receiving end of a few huge hits during the game before leaving with potentially unrelated cramping in the fourth quarter. We don't assume he will miss any time, but it's a situation to monitor this week.
Addison has taken an absolute beating in this game but has continued to play through whatever bumps and bruises he's accumulated. However, it appears that the cramps, which may or may not be related, have finally taken him out of the game. The Vikings have a double-digit lead, so it's unclear if they will need Addison to come back and tough this one out. Jalen Nailor should see more work with Addison out.
Sam Darnold hit the Minnesota wide receiver in stride as he raced to the end zone against the Tennessee Titans.
The Vikings fumbled on their first drive, with Sam Darnold and Aaron Jones not connecting on a pitch.
