Washington did little this week and was not targeted in Week 10. He would not normally be on the fantasy radar, but Gabe Davis left this game with a non-contact knee injury and did not return. With Christian Kirk already done for the year, Washington may be forced into the No. 2 receiver role following Jacksonville's Week 12 bye. Fantasy managers with deep benched could do worse on the waiver wire this week, though expectations remain low for all Jacksonville players until Trevor Lawrence returns.
Davis went down with a non-contact knee injury in the third quarter and was ruled out almost immediately. The Jags were well into garbage time when Davis went down, but that doesn't appear to be why he is done for the day. The Jaguars are on bye next week, giving Davis an extra week of rest if the injury isn't a long-term issue. Tim Jones and Parker Washington will see more work in his absence.
Alrighty then. With Gabe Davis back in the lineup, Washington reverted to also-ran status as backup QB Mac Jones stunk up the joint. Washington is going to pop up for some 3-4 catch efforts in Christian Kirk's rest-of-absence, but it won't be worth trying to predict when. That includes Week 11 against the Lions in Detroit.
Jaguars WRs Brian Thomas (chest) and Gabe Davis (shoulder) are expected to play vs. the Vikings today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Thomas played through his injury last week and never seemed to be in danger of missing this one. Davis sat out last week and would be a shaky fantasy play today, especially with QB Mac Jones at the controls. Davis' return should push WR Parker Washington back into the slot, giving him a favorable matchup against CB Byron Murphy.
WR Parker Washington worked as Jacksonville's No. 2 wideout in Sunday's loss to the Eagles, nearly matching WR Brian Thomas Jr. in snaps (49-46) and pass routes (34-33). His 6 targets ranked second on the team, behind only TE Evan Engram.
