Higbee was upgraded to full for Friday's practice but the team opted to give him another week off before activating him from the physically unable to perform list. Neither Davis Allen nor Colby Parkinson were able to earn the long-term starting role with Higbee sidelined. All three will be unusable whenever Higbee makes his debut but he can be speculatively added to playoff-bound teams with spare bench space.
Higbee remains unlikely to suit up for LA's Week 13 against the Saints, however. He suffered a major knee injury last January and has been on the PUP list since late July. Higbee could return for the end of the regular season if the Rams are still in the postseason hunt. Until then, Davis Allen and Colby Parkinson will continue splitting snaps and routes.
Parkinson has been a complete afterthought in the offense in the second half of the 2024 season, playing fewer offensive snaps than Davis Allen during the previous four games. What little fantasy value remaining has gone with the wind for the veteran tight end in Los Angeles.
