NBC SportsMarquez Valdes-Scantling is active for the Saints in Week 17 against the Raiders.

The Saints declared QB Derek Carr, RB Alvin Kamara, DT Khristian Boyd, RB Jordan Mims, LB Anfernee Orji, DT John Ridgeway III, and WR Mason Tipton inactive for the game. None of these absences come as huge surprises, as Carr and Kamara were declared out earlier in the week. Valdes-Scantling will play through his chest injury and should serve as the de facto number one receiver against the Raiders; although, it's hard to trust a receiver in this offense.

Draft SharksJordan Mims Out, Clyde Edwards-Helaire In For Week 17

Saints RB Jordan Mims is a healthy scratch for today's game vs. the Raiders. RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who signed with New Orleans a couple of weeks ago, is active. Insider Nick Underhill expects a "real role" for Edwards-Helaire today. He's not a fantasy option, but expect the Saints to stick with a three-RB committee with Kendre Miller, Jamaal Williams, and Edwards-Helaire.

Draft SharksAlvin Kamara Out For Week 17

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (groin) is out for Sunday s game vs. the Raiders. He didn t practice all week, but interim HC Darren Rizzi believes Kamara has a chance to make it back for Week 18. He needs 50 rushing yards for his first 1,000-yard season. New Orleans will again roll with RBs Kendre Miller, Jordan Mims, and Jamaal Williams this weekend. Miller was a big bust last week but should get better game script against the Raiders on Sunday. He s at least in play as a RB3 or Flex.

Draft SharksAlvin Kamara Still Out Wednesday

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (groin) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice. Fantasy managers should not be counting on him returning for this weekend's game vs. the Raiders. New Orleans deployed a three-RB committee of Kendre Miller, Jordan Mims, and Jamaal Williams with Kamara out last week. It's a backfield to try to avoid in Week 17 fantasy lineups.

NBC SportsKendre Miller rushed eight times for 15 yards in the Saints' Week 16 loss to the Packers, adding 16 yards on two receptions.

To be fair to Miller, the entire offense struggled through what seemed to be insurmountable deficiencies while playing with a backup rookie quarterback and without their top four skill position players. Miller ceded most of the second half work to Jordan Mims with the team taking a 21-0 deficit into the break. Mims ended up catching 5-of-8 targets for 16 yards while adding 16 yards on four carries. It remains unclear if any of the team's injured players will play again this season, but things don't currently look good in New Orleans.
