A week after being the San Francisco 49ers' emergency third quarterback, Brandon Allen is active against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

49ers QB Brock Purdy (shoulder) is active for tonight s game vs. the Bills. He had a good week by all accounts, progressing to a full practice on Friday. There s still elevated risk to using Purdy in fantasy lineups with the throwing shoulder issue, though. And the spot is tough against the Bills ninth-ranked QB defense in wintery Buffalo. Purdy is not a recommended QB1 play but his return is good news for San Francisco s skill-position players. QB Brandon Allen is inactive as the emergency third QB tonight, leaving QB Josh Dobbs as the backup.
