He looks likely to get a big workload with Tyjae Spears (concussion) out and has touchdown and yardage-based incentives that could lead the Titans to feed him the ball. Inactive for the Titans are S Amani Hooker, Spears, K Nick Folk, WR Jha'Quan Jackson, OLB Arden Key, RT Jaelyn Duncan, and WR Tyler Boyd. All of those players asides from Jackson was ruled out by injury on Friday.
Boyd closes his ninth NFL season having caught 39-of-56 targets for 390 scoreless yards. The 30-year-old wide receiver is scheduled to hit free agency this offseason and although an NFL team could sign him as a depth piece, Boyd is unlikely to be worth more than a late-round best ball pick for fantasy purposes. His per-route efficiency badly dropped off this season. Boyd earned targets on just 13.1 percent of routes while averaging a measly 0.91 yards per route run.
Boyd dealt with a foot injury but was still able to play in Week 17 against the Jaguars. The 30-year-old veteran will likely need to get in at least one session -- even if it's limited -- to have a chance to play Sunday against the Texans There won't be any fantasy relevancy, either way.
