Jones lost a key fumble on the second possession, which turned into a Commanders touchdown just four plays later. He connected with tight end Chris Manhertz on a two-yard touchdown on the following drive but wouldn't lead another touchdown drive until the fourth quarter when his team was in comeback mode. Jones ran in a two-yard score early in the fourth quarter and connected with Theo Johnson on a 35-yard score late in the quarter to get Washington's lead to 27-22. Unfortunately, the defense wasn't able to get the ball back for Jones and the offense, as the Giants dropped both of their games against the Commanders this season. Jones averaged just 6.7 YPA in what was a pedestrian offensive performance for the G-Men. Jones will be a QB2 in next week's game against the Panthers.
