Thanks for a great year

For many of you, this is it. The last week. I've heard from many of you and I wish you the best of luck in your final games. The Nerd will remain up for those of you who go through Week 17, however, with the holidays approaching, I'm signing off for the year. This has been a fun year and FFN just keeps getting bigger and better. Wait until next year. Lots of enhancements in the works!

There won't be a Where to Put'em column this week, but the rankings are complete. Aaron Rodgers is projected to have the biggest day this weekend and that's fine by me as I'll be at Lambeau to watch it, including getting a chance to go down on the field before the game. How cool is that?

Remember that this week's first game is Friday with San Diego at Tennessee. If you're in the championship, I'm pretty confident that you've got at least one player in that game. There are also plenty of story lines to watch come Sunday so keep up on the daily news. We'll be watching Larry Johnson face his former team, Jerome Harrison try to repeat last week's performance, Tom Brady get reconnected with Moss and Welker, the Colts try to stay undefeated, Brett Favre try and regain his momentum, and a battle of defenses as Baltimore takes on Pittsburgh. Man, I love the NFL.

On a personal note, I'd like to send a special thank you to Gene Wang at the Washington Post, Sara Holiday at FFLibrarian.com, and Doug & Ori at FleaFlicker.com. I'd also like to thank my wife for not only putting up with another year, but getting involved as well. The biggest thank you goes out to all of you though for making FFN's 2nd official year a success. Your comments and suggestions throughout the year make it all worth while.

Congrats to Andrew and Charlotte who welcomed William James to the world. I have a feeling that he'll be winning fantasy football championships in no time.

Geoff - thanks for all the words of encouragement. We miss you.

May your holidays be wonderful and your championship winnings be plentiful. See you in 2010.

Thanks again Nerd for setting up the site! I enjoy it and it saves me a lot of the same work I would normally do!

Good luck in your championship games today, but not too much!

The game was fantastic, but I was at the stadium early and didn't have a chance to take SJax out of my lineup. Add Fred Davis's tanking performance and I lost by 2 points, but it was worth it.

Thank you, thank you Joe. Love your site. I only wish that it was still

'active and running' during the nfl playoff and super bowl period. Keep up the great work.
